The ultimate aim of this policy is to promote the safeguarding of children as defined by the Woodside Academy Trust’s statement on safeguarding children

Safeguarding is the responsibility of all staff and volunteers. The adults named below lead on safeguarding and have a responsibility to ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed within our Academy:

DESIGNATED SAFEGUARDING LEADS:

  • David Harrison (Principal)
  • Emma Metcalfe (Assistant Principal)
  • Ceinwen Lodge (Assistant Principal)
  • Nicola Taylor (EYFS Leader)

LEAD DIRECTOR:

  • Peter Addison-Child

NB. If in the unlikely eventuality of all the safeguarding leads being out of Academy at the same time, please ask a member of the Admin Team to contact, by mobile phone, the safeguarding lead who is nearest to Academy.

The above named adults for safeguarding receive induction training and refresher training every two years.

All safeguarding leads, staff, directors, volunteers and service providers receive an induction and annual safeguarding training.
