Do you know what our local area is called?
Have a go at writing or making it using different materials.

What type of house do you live in?
Can you have a go at making your house using any resources you have at home?
PE- Get your body moving
Koo Koo Kanga Roo is get you warmed up for your PE sessions.
In Year 1, children are learning to use different parts of their bodies and learning to co-ordinate their movements.
This week they are learning to throw and catch.
You can use a soft toy if you don't have a tennis ball and stand 2meters apart and learn how to do an under arm pass.
You have to catch with two hands and bring into your chest and then get ready to do an under arm soft throw to your partner.
You can make it harder by moving further away from your partner.
Science- Taste testing
This week Year 1 are learning about their sense of taste.
So far the children have learnt, touch, sight and sound.
This week the children will be taking part in tasting different foods and trying to identify what they have tasted.
They will then make a poster of their favourite foods.
