Home learning is a valuable tool for supporting your child's journey throughout year 5 and beyond. 

 

Reading:

Each week the children are expected to read every night. Please fill in the reading log (yellow card).

 

Spellings:

Each week, the children will learn six new spellings These are part of the national curriculum statutory spelling rules and Year 5/6 spellings.

 

The children will be given a copy of their new spellings to learn on Thursdays (highlighted on the provided wordsearch). 

The children will then have a spelling test the following Thursday based on those six highlighted spellings. 

 

We appreciate your continued support in encouraging your children to extend their learning beyond the classroom.
