Free Audiobooks!

There’s nothing better than snuggling up to listen to an audiobook and we have lots of awesome audiobooks to get your teeth into. From Elmer for little ones, to The Bolds by Julian Clary and Rumble Star by Abi Elphinstone, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. So, why not create an audiobook equivalent of film night, complete with popcorn, PJs and pillows? All you need to do is click the link below...

Get Creative!

For a fun, creative and cheap activity, why not transform a potato or wooden spoon into your favourite book character? Looking for a magical way to reuse a shoebox or jam jar? Try making a Harry Potter scene in a box or A Gangsta Granny out of a wooden spoon. Check out the link below for more ideas! We would love to see your creations, so make sure you send pictures to your year group email address!

Create a soundtrack to a reading

Choose a short novel, story or narrative poem that’s fun to read aloud (or play an audio book recording) and create sound effects for it. These can be self-generated (voices and body noises – clicking, shuffling, stamping and so on), hand-made (dried peas in a can) or sophisticated (using music technology software) to create your own reading soundtrack!

Quiz o’clock!

Everybody loves a quiz so why not play our online quiz and see who can score the most!
