It's all about AREA!
This week we would like you to have a go at looking at the area of shapes.
Remember, AREA is the space INSIDE the shape.
We can use simple formulae to calculate the area.
A = area
L = length
W = width
So the formulae would be L x W = A
Here are some examples to help you first...

Let's have a look at TRIANGLES
We can also use simple formulae to find the area of a triangle.
A = area
B = base
H = height
To find the area of a triangle we use the formulae
area = base x height ÷ 2
( A = B x H ÷ 2)
