How are you feeling today?
Using the How are you feeling? cards:
Think of all the words you can for happy - repeat this activity until all the cards are used (4/5 words for each?). Write a list as you go.
Using the cards again:
“How can people show that they are feeling this?” [e.g. nervous – quiet voice, no eye contact, making themselves small.]
We all show feelings in different ways. One happy person might be loud, another might find it hard to sit still, another might smile.
Activity: How are you feeling?
Choose a feelings card and think of a way to help someone or what to say to someone who is feeling this way. Record these on your paper.
For example, ‘feeling nervous’ you could say “You look a bit nervous. What can I do to help you?” or you could smile at them and hold their hand.
