Exploring Vocabulary – The Water Cycle

Question to answer:

  1. What are the four stages of the water cycle? Can you explain how they are related?
  2. Is water a solid, liquid or gas? Can it change state? How do you know?

 

Tasks:

  1. Highlight any words that are unfamiliar and discuss their meanings (e.g. precipitation, vapour, everlasting). Can you create your own glossary? Use a dictionary to help you. If you don’t have one, ask an adult or make a good guess.
  2. Can you explain in your own words the difference between a solid, liquid and gas? Can you think of everyday examples for each?
