As humans, we share many common characteristics with other animals including skeletons. I'd like you to think about whether all animals have a skeleton inside? Yes you're absolutely right! The answer is 'No'. Many animals do not have a skeleton such as worms, jellyfish and flies. All animals can be divided into 2 groups: Vertebrates – animals with a backbone and Invertebrates – animals without a backbone.
