Rock Experts

Last week you began to gather information for your Rock exhibition. Today, you will be looking at natural and man-made rocks.

Different types of rock can be found in different parts of the country and they have many uses. Natural rocks can be formed by materials that have been packed closely together over a long period of time, extreme heat or volcanic activity. On the other hand, man-made rocks, also known as anthropic rocks, are rocks that are made, modified or moved by humans such as concrete, brick and coade.

I would like you to have a look at some rocks and sort them as to whether they are Natural or Man- Made Rocks. Then, think about what their uses!

Below you have a table that you can fill out - if you want, you can draw the table in your books and draw and label the pictures of the rocks that you have sorted into the 2 groups.
