Monday

Read the information below about giraffes. Tell your adult five facts that you know from the text. 

 

Now we are going to write three facts about giraffes. Remember to use capital letters, full stops and spaces between words. 

 

When spelling it is important to use your phonics knowledge rather than getting all the spellings correct. 

Tuesday

Today we are going to practise our year 1 spellings. Look at the spelling grid below. Pick five words and spell them five times.  Now apply the words into a sentence. 

Wednesday 

Read the section of text below. Can you identify the capital letters? What are they used for?

 

In this text capital letters are used at the start of sentences and for names of places.
