LO: To begin to punctuate sentences using an exclamation mark.

Today we are thinking about what characters might say and are going to use an exclamation mark to show expression. Open the link below and fill in the speech bubbles for each character.

Here are some words. Can you add the prefix un to them, how does this change the meaning of the words?

Today we are designing our own evil vegetable character. Your first job is to draw an evil vegetable. You could draw an evil carrot, an evil sweetcorn or an evil turnip. 

 

Now write a character description about your evil vegetable using words with the prefix un.

LO: To sequence sentences to form short narratives.

Today we are going to use our learning from this week to write a character description about the evil vegetable we created yesterday. Your first job is to draw a picture of your character again. Then label it with key words. Remember to use words with the prefix un. 

 

 

Now write a short description of your character. You must use:

  • capital letters
  • spaces between words
  • full stops
  • words with the prefix un
