Monday 24th May
LO: To use and to join phrases.
Today we are going to write about what we look like. Your first job is to look at a partner and describe them, then swap. What do you notice?
In your books create a mind map about what you look like, then draw and label a picture of yourself.
Now we are going to use our mind map and picture to help us to write sentences with the conjunction and. Here is my example.
I have long, brown hair and I have blue eyes.
Remember you need a phrase after the conjunction and, not just a word.
When writing, please remember our year 1 targets
- to use capital letters at the start of a sentence

- to leave spaces between words
- to reread your work to check that it makes sense
