Copy and complete each sentence into your book and add the semi-colon.
Write out each sentence by joining two parts together with a semi-colon.
Now have a go at writing your own sentences using a semi-colon about Pompeii and the eruption of Vesuvius.

Your task today is to have a go at writing a setting description using all the skills you have been learning - semi-colons and relative clauses.
Watch the videos below to remind yourself of what Pompeii was like before, during and after the eruption.
Read through the WAGOLL and write a list of all the relative clauses and outstanding vocabulary that you could use in your description.
Using the WAGOLL to help you, have a go at writing your own setting description.
